Southwest Working Dog Association (SWDA) founded in 2001 as a full member club of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America (www.germanshepherddog.com). We are a schutzhund training club following the by laws and mission of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America.
Our membership consists of people with various levels of dog experience, from newcomer to the seasoned handler/trainer/competitor all with different aspirations and goals. We have successfully helped our members with their puppies, trained and untrained young and adult dogs to achieve more than 150 Schutzhund Titles (SchH 1 -3, BH,WH, IPO 1-3, FH and FH2) and to compete and win at all levels of competition from Club to Regional to National, but more importantly SWDA has helped to improve the dog / handler relationship and enjoyment of owning a working breed dog.
SWDA hosts at least 2 Trials or Seminars each year and we welcome visitors / spectators to our training sessions and events.
SWDA is located in Acton, California..
