At Southwest Working Dogs we have been fortunate to have owned, trained and competed with some very special animals. Unfortunately they have to retire sometimes due to injury or just old age and although they don't understand that it's time to relax and they can't work like they used to they still give 100 % when given the opportunity.

Rest in Peace
Hammerhaus Danzig, SchH1 . Retired early due to an injury but always ready to work. Danzig was a very special dog for the club and truely a family member of our family. He was always a friend and protector to the family and especially to Susan.
In his prime he was one of the toughest protection dogs we have had the opportunity to own and work!
Danzig earned his SchH 1 with a "V" score in Protection. As a team Susan and Danzig won the First Annual "La Femmes Tournment"
Danzig lived to be almost 13 years old and will forever be missed.
